How we work

Editorial standards

We explain insurance tradeoffs with scenario checks, stated assumptions, and links to primary consumer resources. Calculators are planning aids, not quotes or coverage determinations.

Inputs are visible

Pages explain which inputs drive an estimate.

Coverage is not assumed

We separate limits, deductibles, exclusions, and endorsements.

Scenarios over slogans

We test a normal case and a claim case.

Corrections are explicit

Thin or outdated pages are removed from search until fixed.

Review and correction process

Every indexable page must answer a specific user question, explain important assumptions, and offer more than a generic definition. Interactive tools are tested with boundary values and at least one hand-calculated example. Material corrections are made in place; pages that do not meet the standard are removed from search and advertising until they are improved.

Content is educational. It is not legal, tax, insurance, medical, or investment advice. Users should verify decisions with the relevant provider or qualified professional.

Primary references we prefer

Publication threshold

A public calculator must answer a distinct decision question, expose the inputs and calculation method, explain material limits, provide at least one verification workflow, and link to an appropriate primary reference. A guide must add original analysis, a practical evidence process, and a scenario that cannot be replaced by a short definition. Draft inventory is not automatically published.

Pages are removed from navigation, the sitemap, advertising code, and search indexing when they are thin, outdated, duplicative, broken, or insufficiently differentiated. A page is returned only after an individual review; word count alone is not a publication criterion.

Research and testing

We prefer regulator, government, plan, carrier-form, and statutory sources over marketing summaries. Calculator tests include boundary values, empty and invalid input handling, one hand-reconciled example, and a less-favorable scenario. We distinguish a planning estimate from a quote, eligibility finding, coverage interpretation, tax conclusion, or claim outcome.

Corrections and commercial independence

Readers can report errors through the contact page. Material corrections are made in place and update the visible review date. Advertising and affiliate relationships do not buy favorable conclusions, alter formulas, or determine which pages remain public. CoverageFixPro does not accept payment to hide a limitation or present an advertiser's claim as independent research.
